Canon 50mm f/1.2...

And so it has arrived. The replacement for my Canon 50mm f/1.4. It came yesterday and only had chance to play with it on the Canon 1D mkVI, so i'm looking forward to see what it can do on the full frame. Shot at night with it and the separation in depth of field is so far beyond the f/1.4. It creates a much cleaner depth of field on the faster apertures and captures detail in focal areas in a different league to the f/1.4. The sharpest lens i've used and don't think it will come off the camera for some time. It also feels 100 times nicer on the camera and gives a much better balance in your hand, especially on the 1D. Price is a little steep, but most definitely a must have lens if your shooting people...

I have the 50mm 1.4 and is amazed how sharp it is over and over again. If the 1.2 really is better, I guess you're right - the glass is worth the money.
