This month i've been featured in the photography magazine 'Practical Photography'. Contains a small interview about my work and processes i follow to create it. Also contains a little info on the images included. Pretty happy with it and appears to be a cool way to gain a little feedback from those more experienced. 'Andrew Farrington' ads his views on my images and over all really happy with what he had to say. Check it out in stores on sale from the 1st December....

Canon 24mm TS-E L II in action...
Had the chance to shoot with the mk II version of the Canon 24mm TS-E L. I've shot with the old 24mm TS quite a bit and it was one of my favourites for sure. Always so sharp and allowed to be a bit creative with angles and perspective.
First thing i can say about the new one is it feels so much better. I've always been a sucker for aesthetics when i comes to equipment and this new one feels really nice to use. In terms of imagery it's also a little better. On a whole the image is a little sharper especially towards the edges of the image. With the old 24mm TS, the images sharpness would drop off quite quickly towards the edges. This new version doesn't as drastically and creates some really beautiful images. In terms of depth of field, it's not the quickest of lenses at f3.5, but it can give a nice a depth of field for such a wide lens.

iPad shooting...
Managed to get my hands on an iPad about a month ago, but so far only really used it for emailing and web browsing. That is until last week, when i used it in replacement for the macbook pro on a shoot. Throughout a studio shoot i used the ipad to check my focus, composition, lighting and all i can say is it's made shooting that little bit easier. It's such an easy way to view images and the client found it to be a pretty fun way to look through the images too. And when you've finished shooting all images download onto your computer the same as off a card.
Only downside... The adaptor to download images cost £25. I'd still say it's worth it!

Update on latest shoot...
Tom Totten...
Last week i shot a few images with 'Tom Totten'. Super talented guitarist and had a load of fun shooting him. The images where to be part of an ad campaign i'm currently working on and they came out. Shot in the studio for this one, but looking to shoot again soon in on location, but the weathers not so great and not really liking these temperatures!
